I'll be honest, I found it really hard to get into this band at first but once I did, I was amazed. Here was a band so unrelenting in its fury and so precise in its destructive sound that I couldn't believe they could better their previous releases and continue to do so, but they always have and always will. Resolution is no different.
This new album is incredible, it is very hard to describe it briefly but it takes elements from their previous albums and expands upon the sound that we all love. Randy is the most brutal I have ever heard him on this record, it seems like he found his fire again after the disappointing ‘Wrath.’
Chris again is one of the best drummers out there, and this album proves that again, he is a force to be reckoned with in the Western Metal scene.
‘Guilty’ and ‘The Number Six’ are the only two songs on this album that I don't like so much, however they are both great songs, just not up to the standard of the rest of the album.
After ‘Barbarosa,’ is where the album really excels, they throw in clean vocals, different drumming and great lyrics. It sounds like they want to expand their sound and they do so well exceptionally well.
‘King Me’ rounds out this monstrous album and utilizes an Orchestra and Latin female vocals sung underneath Randy's spoken parts and screams. It is probably the best song they have made since ‘Reclamation’ off ‘Wrath’
If you loved their earlier albums, you will love this, if you love metal and haven't listened to these guys before, this is the perfect album to start with.
Standout tracks : ‘Straight For The Sun’ ‘The Undertow’ ‘Cheated’ ‘Insurrection’ ‘Terminally Unique’ ‘To The End’ ‘King Me’
