This is Leon Wharekuras 2nd release and follows on from the 2009 award winging debut it’s a Love Thing.

Aptly named ChameLEON, this album reflects the various genres featured within. A mix of Pop, Contemporary, RnB, laced with Te Reo Maori and reggae, the lyrics and melodies suggest and resonate messages of hope, identity, celebration, caution and love.

Track five ( ‘E te Tau’) will ring familiar with listeners worldwide as Leon’s voice sings around the cameo appearance that is the incomparable Annie Crummer. Together they join voice with a pacific infused version of the much loved song, ‘Unchained Melody’. Aided by Ukulele extraordinaire Jarome Pare and sung in Te Reo Maori and Te Reo Kuki Airini, the end result is pure kumara & coconut gold.
