At first listen I thought I was going to have to endure slow song after slow song, but after round two I loved almost every song! For me, it has a bit of an 80's feel to it and a touch of jazz – which seems to have come from her role in Cadillac Records. She has more of a growl to her voice more often, and both ‘I Care’ and ‘I Miss You’ shows off her vocal range, as she sings along with the instruments. I feel like this album clearly shows she has grown and matured.
I just love this album, its a great mix! Loving her old skool beats in some of the songs, its a very inspirational album. Beautiful beats in my ear drums!! :) This is definitely one to own! :D
