Description

Grow It, Cook It is a cookery and gardening book in one. It shows you how simple it is to grow your own vegetables, fruit and herbs - and then createhealthy and tasty meals for your family. And you don't need a garden: the plants in Grow It Cook It can all be grown in pots.

Growing your own fruit and vegetables is undergoing a resurgence - from families in the suburbs to professionals in the city, people are aware of the benefits, both financial and health-wise of growing your own food. With over 355 recipes, 30 fruit, vegetable and herb varieties and easy-to-follow gardner's notes, Grow It, Cook It will inspire you in the kitchen - and also show you what to do with an abundance of produce, with information on how to freeze, bottle and preserve.

The book also includes a section called 'Child's Play' - fun ideas to get kids involved developing the edible garden so they have an understanding of where food comes from (not just the supermarket!) and how to be self-sufficient, even in a small way. Sally's evocative text and mouth-watering recipes are complemented by Charlie's beautiful photographs.
