Get ready sports fans, the greatest league the sport of Blood Bowl has ever seen is about to begin! Prepare your playbook, get your players in shape and practice your moves as Blitzmania is coming in February!

Mighty Ape are proud to be one of the official League Promoters for New Zealand so lets take a look at how you can get involved…

Blitzmania- the official global Blood Bowl League

Blitzmania is the official global Blood Bowl league being run by Games Workshop in 2017, kicking off on February 4th and running until March 12th. During this time you'll be able to log the results of your Blood Bowl games with your local League Promoter (that's us) and they'll be entered into the official league annuals.

The league table will tally your points along with those of every other Blitzmania team in the world and after six weeks the person at the top of the League will win fame, glory and a magnificent trophy from Games Workshop.*

How to get involved

The first step to getting involved in Blitzmania is to register your team on the official website. Once your team has been registered and the league has begun you'll be able to submit your results.

After you play a game, fill out a Game Record Sheet (which can be downloaded from Bloodbowl.com) and take it to your local Blitzmania league participating store, like the Mighty Ape showroom in Rosedale, Auckland, and we'll enter the results for you.

Please agree with your opponent who's logging the results (we recommend the winner!) and make sure you both sign the record sheet. Each game may only be logged once. After the game is logged, you and your opponent will receive a confirmation email.

Since we know that not everyone is able to make it over to our showroom you'll also be able to submit your results to us on our Hobbies Facebook page. Just fill out your results sheet as normal with your opponent and send us a message with a photo of it and we'll enter it.

Once the league has begun you'll be able to check out the Mighty Ape Store League to see how your team's standing stacks up with other local players.

We're also hosting a one day event here at Mighty Ape as part of our SteamApe gaming weekend, which is a great chance to get some extra games in and be in to win awesome prizes.
