Here's a first look at Downton Abbey Season 5 which will be showing in the UK on September 21st. The 5th season uses the election of Britain’s first Labour government as its political backdrop as it opens in 1924, the year Ramsay MacDonald became Prime Minister.

Cast members such as Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery, Jim Carter and Laura Carmichael are all returning plus look out for guest stars Anna Chancellor as man-eating Lady Anstruther and Richard E Grant as charming art historian Simon Bricker.

Hopefully no water bottles return for this season :p
