Mighty Ape supporting Mighty Angus

By Matt

Mighty Ape has teamed up with cricketing BLACKCAP, Grant Elliot to help raise funds for Angus Little during the ANZ One Day International series against the Poms. We'll pay $500 for each match Grant is selected for, $200 if the BLACKCAPS win, $10 for each run Grant scores, and $50 for each wicket he takes (bowled, caught, run out). Grant is donating all the funds to the Angus Little Brain Tumour Fundraising Appeal.

Third ODI – Auckland 23 February

The BLACKCAPS posted 185 in Auckland which was always going to require a special effort in the field to protect. Unfortunately England were too good with the bat and comfortably chased down the total with over 12 overs to spare. Grant had a good innings and was looking in good touch until he was run out on 24. That means Grant raised $740 in the final ODI taking his series total to $2440, a great effort by Grant. England may have won the series, but the real winner is the Angus Little Brain Tumour Fundraising Appeal. Big ups to Grant for partnering with Mighty Ape to help out Angus Litte during the ODI series.

Second ODI – Napier 20 February

The BLACKCAPS posted a good score in Napier, but unfortunately it wasn't quite enough with England chasing it down with 14 balls to spare and 8 wickets in hand. Grant had a good game, scoring a quickfire 23 runs off 30 balls just when the BLACKCAPS needed a lift in run rate. That means Mighty Ape will donate $730 to the Angus Little Brain Tumour Fundraising Appeal. So far the the total raised is $1700 with the deciding match at Eden Park on Saturday. You can still help out, please visit Angus Little Brain Tumour Fundraising Appeal to make a donation.

First ODI – Hamilton 17 February

The BLACKCAPS had a fantastic first up win against England on Sunday night. Grant had a great game with one catch, and 22 runs off the bat. That means Mighty Ape will donate $970 to the Angus Little Brain Tumour Fundraising Appeal with two games still to go in the series. You can help out as well, please visit Angus Little Brain Tumour Fundraising Appeal to make a donation. Every little bit helps.

Thank you to Mighty Ape and Grant Elliot for a wonderful fundraising initiative for Angus. Go well Grant and the black caps. Cheers, Dave Little (Angus' dad).
