Superstart Batteries will honour all genuine warranty claims. All new batteries sold are covered by a replacement warranty that is backed by the battery’s respective brand or manufacturer. The warranty period begins from the date of purchase and is stated on the battery. Do take note of the differences in warranty period based on application (i.e. private use, commercial use, taxi use, etc)
A warranty claim is only applicable where the battery fails as a result of a manufacturing or material fault. Misuse, damage, poor installation practices or improper maintenance do not constitute a warranty claim.
If you’ve received the wrong product or it has been damaged in transit, please contact us as soon as possible.
If you do not contact us within 5 days of receiving the item, then it will be taken that you agree that the correct goods have been delivered and that they are in good order (this doesn’t affect any Consumer Guarantees Act rights).
After 14 days, If you’ve simply changed your mind or your circumstances have changed we won't be able to provide a refund so please choose carefully. If you are unsure if a particular battery or part is suitable for your vehicle, ask us or provide your vehicle REGO / make and model upon purchase.
Warranty depends on the specific item / brand. Most batteries are backed by 24 - 42 months warranty, automotive parts and accessories are generally backed by minimum 12 months warranty or more (unless otherwise stated). Warranty period will be stated on the listing. If a product under warranty is genuinely faulty as per warranty terms and conditions, we will replace it with a new one.
Shipping via NZ Courier (non Dangerous Goods) or Mainfreight (Dangerous Goods Class 2) tracked
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
