Stringers are used to secure the catch onto a float which eliminates them being on your person.
The fish is threaded onto a stringer either through the eyes or through the gills and out of the mouth. The pin is then flipped 90 degrees to the cable to lock the catch on.
This tool can also be used to secure a burley to the kelp or a float line so that it does not get dragged away by rays and sharks.
Only blue stocked.
