Turtle in a Tangle

Pebble the tortoise and Zoom the sea turtle become best friends and have lots of fun together in their different homes. But one day Zoom doesn’t come to Cobble Cove. As Pebble is waiting and worrying she hears, “Help, help! Zoom is in a tangle!” Pebble goes in search of Zoom and she notices lots of things in the water which shouldn’t be there. The beautiful illustrations of all the magnificent sea life surrounded by plastic will create lots of discussion and questions from children. It will inspire children to want to take care of nature and the environment. Turtle in a Tangle would be perfect as a bedtime story for 3 to 6 year olds or for schools to explain the issue of ocean plastic.

Author Biography

Sue is a primary school teacher, which she has enjoyed for the past 20 years. This is mainly in Key Stage 1 where she developed her love of sharing books with children. She is constantly in awe at how books capture and develop children’s imagination. Reading stories to her class gave her the inspiration to start writing children’s stories. Her personal dream to read her own book to her class has recently come true and she was delighted at the wonderful response from the children. She is also passionate about saving our amazing sea life from plastic pollution. She firmly believes we can all play a part in helping to reduce the amount of plastic that is being used. She knows that educating children about plastic pollution is such an important factor in solving the plastic problem.
