Truth You Know EP is the first release from Ashes Of August, previously known as Broken Bell.
The four-track CD features delicate vocal harmonies over intricate guitar playing, and special guest appearances by Wellington blues maestro Thomas Oliver on Weissenborn (slide guitar).
Recording the ‘old fashioned way’ to 1/4” analogue tape reels, the Truth You Know EP was largely captured in single takes, performed at Holly Beal’s place in the hills of Brooklyn, June 2008, against the wet and wintry backdrop of Wellington City.
