Having composed and recorded some of the most popular and successful contemporary music of the 20th Century, Paul Simon remains among the most important artists of all time. This 3 x CD set celebrates the continuing longevity of Simon’s quite extraordinary career, featuring as it does a selection of dazzling, previously unreleased, live appearances, all of which were recorded for FM radio broadcast between 1967 and 1980.
The first disc features a superb show he performed with Art Garfunkel during the height of the pair’s collaborative era at The Cousens Gymnasium, Tufts University, Medford, MA. 11th March 1967, given while the duo were recording their fourth studio album, Bookends. Continuing with a Paul Simon solo show from 1978 on disc two, his gig at The Old Roman Amphitheatre, Caesarea Maritima, Israel on 7th May, remains a legendary concert, and is released on this set for the first time. The collection concludes with a 1980 broadcast recorded at the Tower Theater, Upper Darby, PA on 8th October that year
