It’s my joy to distill some basics of what it looks like to lead – right where you are at, in a way that’s authentic to you.

We live in a leadership paradox: In a time that needs leadership more than ever, people are more reluctant than ever to take on the responsibility of leadership. In addition, the average leader in our churches or faith-based organizations doesn’t necessarily have the time or desire to pore through shelves of leadership material.

To Lead: A Practical Guide for Leaders in Churches and Faith-Based Organizations is Joel Milgate’s contribution toward filling that gap.

Author Biography

Joel Milgate is the lead pastor of Curate Church, a multi-location church in New Zealand. He has been in ministry for seventeen years, and under his leadership, Curate has experienced incredible growth. Together, he and his wife, Katie, bring a vision for what the church could be, authenticity, and family values. Joel is a mentor to pastors, passionate about church planting, and motivated by the desire to see people pursue the way of Jesus and play their part in His story. Joel and Katie live in Tauranga, New Zealand, with their four children.
