Author Biography
Grace Todino-Gonguet is a travel writer, resident for some time in Oman, where this book is set. Her earlier book, Halimah and the Snake, was probably the first illustrated collection of Omani folk tales and provided a rare insight into the traditional lore of this beautiful Gulf state. Susan Keeble has illustrated a number of children’s stories. Her striking watercolours have been exhibited at galleries internationally, celebrating local colour, be it amid the sands or Arabia or on the waters of the Thames at Henley Regatta.
