The Tomato Crop

This text presents a critical review of research and development findings integrated from a number of areas of tomato investigation. Ideas for research and a scientific basis for further improvements to the crop are provided throughout. The contents are arranged in four broad sections: genetic aspects, physiology, disorders (including pests, diseases and weeds) and production. Each section comprises several chapters written by specialists drawn from different parts of the world. The illustrations and examples used are frequently taken from the authors’ own country or area but the principles and processes considered to have widespread relevance.
