The Promise

Anil Shastri and Ravi Shastri, uncle and nephew, and both of Pakistani descent, will enact a bloody revenge against those who put a family member of theirs behind bars. They will leave behind the turmoil in Islamabad and cross over to the UK, and Manchester; and there they will cause mayhem. Two detectives, Chief Inspector Donaldson and Sergeant Edwards, will find themselves with yet another baffling case. Arson will be more than what it’s made out to be, and murder will become an all too familiar pattern. They will have to pit themselves against a serial killer who will stop at nothing. Time will not be on their side as the bodies begin to mount up. Dr Rose, the medical examiner, will step into the picture in more ways than one. She will discover that her life will dramatically change when she has a chance encounter with a hospital porter who will test her emotions to the limit. Later, they will come back to haunt her as she is faced with a difficult choice. And from then on, her life is increasingly put in danger. She will have to show much courage and fortitude if she is to come through it at all. As the pace quickens, and the drama unfolds, where will it all finally end?
