Author Biography

James R. Samuels, Ph.D. Dr. James R. Samuels, began helping others improve their memories as a teenager in 1962. He has spent the succeeding 48 years developing and refining his applied philosophical approach to human development. His development of SORTing™ in 1975 introduced a robust set of techniques lay individuals could use to release life-times of previously unresolved stress, and greatly increase their understanding and self-awareness. Soon after, he turned his attention to the world of business integrating mnemonic training with a strategic approach to planning and management. In the 1990’s he adapted his work in applied philosophy to found The Principles of Engagement, a Mar-tial Arts system and trained Andrew Gainer a 3-time world champion. Dr. Samuels has been a prolific innovator/ educator, working with thousands of people, providing them with tools to relieve stress and fulfill their potential. Today his work has culminated with Re-Minding™, a truly extraordinary blend of SORTing™ and mnemonics that allows people to free themselves from unwanted thoughts and feelings and release their natural creativity and energy. It is a major therapeutic breakthrough in self-management and personal freedom. Jay Klusky, Ph.D. Dr. Jay Klusky received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from UCLA in 1990 under the guidance of Dr. Allen Parducci. Two years later he published his first book, “Easy A’s: Winning the School Game.” In 1974 he began his studies in applied philosophy under the tutelage of Dr. James Samuels, studies which he continues to this day. Dr. Klusky has lectured at universities, developed and administered alternative high schools for youth considered at-risk, designed programming for those considered talented and gifted, and taught classes for students of all ages. His work culminated in his most recent book: “What Every Parent Wants for Their Child and How to Get It.” Currently he serves as a mentor/life-coach/academic adviser, helping parents prepare their children for life after high school and helping teens develop the skills necessary to have extraordinary lives.
