Author Biography

Rohn Bayes was born in 1950 in Fowlerville, Michigan, the son of a Baptist minister. His father John, and his mother, Thelma, raised Rohn and all 5 siblings to adulthood, and taught them well the Christian creed. Rohn, however, failed to hold on to it, forgot most of it, turned into a rave poet and wandered off to travel the world.He began collecting poems during his travels and published the first collection called Learning to Scribble in 1999. In the preface he recalls his earliest memory as a child: sitting on the porch of his Fowlerville, Michigan home and scribbling on a sheet of lined paper – all the way across and all the way top the bottom. Writing.Since the mid-seventies he has called San Antonio, Texas home, allowing for occasional sojourns to other places including 4 years on the Yucatan coast, but he has always returned to his adopted home in south Texas where he maintains a home and a nature preserve and. These days he actively pursues opportunities to market his book, ‘The Ancient Book of Magic Secrets’ and writes his weekly newsletter/podcast – ‘the rohn report’.
