Author Biography

THOMAS P. RAMIREZ was born of a Latino father and Cauca-sian mother on Feb. 5, 1926, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, where he and his wife live today. Following the Great Depression and service in World War II, he graduated from Oshkosh State Teacher’s College and taught intermediate grades in Campbellsport and Fond du Lac. In addition to this memoir, Thomas has written dozens of short stories for Boy’s Life, American Heritage, as well as others and has authored more than 150 paperbacks, spanning such genres as mystery, military, and erotica. A freelance journalist, he also penned hundreds of articles for major tabloids, including The National Enquirer. Much of his writing has been published under pen names.
