Author Biography
Born in Hueytown, Alabama, Mark Waid has earned his living as a lounge singer, a magician, a disc jockey, an accountant, and in many other ways, but none of them as eclectic—or fun—as writing comic books. Waid has written for every major comics publisher, including DC, Marvel Comics, Archie Comics (where he served briefly as their cover-gag editor), Dark Horse Comics, Image Comics, and BOOM! Studios. His credits include Daredevil, X-Men, The Flash, JLA, Ruse, Fantastic Four, the bestseller Kingdom Come, and his creator-owned series Empire.
