Songs From My Kitchen, Volume 1 (Vinyl)

The highly successful Award-winning pop turned jazz singer, songwriter and saxophonist Curts Stgers stayed in touch with his fans during the pandemic by creatng the popular weekly livestreamed show ‘Songs From My Kitchen’. Solo and unplugged, with just his voice and guitar as accompaniment, it allowed him to rediscover his older material, play previously unrecorded songs and perform choice covers. A stripped-down afair made with a crack team of musicians, his new album nods back to that period but also looks ahead to the current and future Curts Stgers, singer/songwriter and connoisseur of great songs. “I like to think I curated this album as much as I created it,” he states. “I called it ‘Volume 1’ partly as an inside joke, and partly because there are stll a lot of great songs out there, and in here, too.
