This book will help you build your self-confidence and develop your assertiveness. The book is structured into three parts. The first explains the different behaviours in the context of assertiveness and the rights on which they are based. The second looks at creating a general image of confidence and competence. The third focuses on different situations and how you can create the right impression for each. It is a workbook; the sections are short so you can work through it or dip in and out, choosing the parts which are particularly relevant to you. Whatever section you are working on, work through it, consider its relevance to your behaviour, identify changes you want to make and then go and practise them. Use the ‘see me’ sections to guide you and help you plan for changes to your approach or behaviour in the future. Throughout the book there is advice, there are tips and there is general guidance with case studies to help you identify with situations and behaviours. Throughout there is the dual aim of genuinely building your self-esteem and confidence as well as perfecting the art of creating the right impression.
