Helen’s book is written for the Adult Children of Alcoholics and Addicts who continue to multiply. It offers hope to those sufferers whose secrets keep them in fear, shame, and silence. This book is not about alcoholism. It’s about the walking wounded left behind who cannot create a future by clinging to the past. It begins with Helen’s story of her experience, going into her strengths and her continuing recovery. She found hope after eight years of participating in the 12-Step Program, therapy and church. Her story shows how her sense of humor has helped her overcome impossible odds and how she learned self-love.
