The American Black Bear wanders through the woods at a leisurely pace.
Where is it going? It’s probably on the look-out for food as usual. Thanks to its stately size it’s almost always hungry. Its favorite hobby is fishing. There it is, standing right in the middle of the river, skillfully catching a salmon in its mighty paws. If it gets really lucky, it might even find some honey in a tree hollow. Thanks to its thick bristly coat, it’s almost impossible for the bees to get through to sting it.
Doesn’t the American Black Bear look cute? It stretches its shiny snout into the air and looks over with friendly eyes. Wouldn’t you just love to give it a cuddle, with its thick fur and cute little ears. But easy does it! Don’t underestimate this forest dweller. When they are hungry, bears can get very grumpy! You could always try calming it down with a little bit of honey!
