IT’S 1944 WWII, in a Nazi occupied Polish concentration camp. Two prisoners,
Hannah, a Jewish girl and Tomasz, a young Pole are lovers, secretly meeting when they
can. When they discover she is pregnant they have no choice but to somehow escape or
risk the Nazis killing their baby. With a daring plan, the two manage to flee the camp,
but on the run, heavily pursued, the two become separated, never to meet again…
32 YEARS LATER, Hannah, living in New York, happily married, sees Tomasz on
TV in a documentary about survivors of the war. Hannah is overcome with emotion.
Tomasz has always believed she had died at the hands of the SS…But after so many
years of heartache Hannah feels compelled to find him and sets off to Poland, hoping
finally, to share the secret she has kept from her family for so long…
