Oregon Truffle Feasts

Oregon Truffles are a Northwest delicacy foraged, with the help of dogs, under the Douglas Firs from Northern California to Southern British Columbia. Oregon Truffle Feasts features over 75 recipes, explains the care of truffles, teaches infusion techniques, and describes how the author’s dog, Lidia, was trained. Dawn has traversed many miles in the forests of the Pacific Northwest. When she adopted her beloved Lagotto Romagnolo, an Italian Truffle Dog, her passion for truffles and their extraordinary flavors was sparked.

Author Biography

Dawn Meiklejohn learned to cook at “My Grandmother’s Knee”. As a scout youth and mother of four scouts, Dawn traversed many miles of the Pacific Northwest forests. When she adopted her beloved Lagotto Romagnolo, an Italian truffle dog, Dawn’s passion for foraging and cooking with truffles was sparked. For all the friends to whom she gifted truffles and who asked, “What do I do with truffles?”, Dawn wrote Oregon Truffle Feasts.
