Now Boarding

Kris jumped up and ran to the still empty locker and flung the door open. Bending down he tried lifting the bottom shelf from the locker with the tips of his fingers, with no success. Pulling harder, he could feel it move slightly but then he slipped back, nearly ripping several fingernails, he clattered to the floor.

Justin walked into the dorm and was immediately perplexed by the sight of a near naked Kris rolling around on the floor.

“Dude, erm, you good?” Justin asked with a slight chuckle in his voice.

Kris looked up at Justin, suddenly realising how insane he looked laying on the floor in front of an empty locker in only his pants, went bright red and blurted,

“I got a letter!”

Justin looked confused for a second before asking,

“O…Kay. I take it you don’t get many letters then?!” he asked jokingly.

Life is confusing for most when growing up. Add a massive change in family dynamics, a new school plus a new way of life and you have yourself an emotional rollercoaster. New friends, new enemies, laughter, tears, fights, tender moments and daily challenges. These are the things Kris Thomas is faced with while learning to adapt to the world of boarding school.
