Never Let Me Go (Screenplay)

Kathy (Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan, An Education), Tommy (Andrew Garfield, Boy A, Red Riding) and Ruth (Oscar nominee Keira Knightley, Pride and Prejudice, Atonement) live in a world and a time that feel familiar to us, but are not quite like anything we know. They spend their childhood at Hailsham, a seemingly idyllic English boarding school. When they leave the shelter of the school and the terrible truth of their fate is revealed to them, they must also confront the deep feelings of love, jealousy and betrayal that threaten to pull them apart.

Author Biography

Alex Garland was born in 1970 and is a British novelist and screenwriter. His first novel, The Beach, was published in 1996 and drew on his experiences as a backpacker. The novel quickly became a cult classic and was made into a film by Danny Boyle. His other novels include The Terreract and The Coma. Garland has also written screenplays for 28 Days Later, Halo and Sunshine. Besides writing novels and screenplays he also co-wrote the recently released video game Enslaved: Odyssey to the West for Playstation 3.
