Officer Mitch Hansen is determined to prove he can still be a top investigator – even after a motorcycle accident leaves him paralyzed from the waist down. When a resident at Tamarack Creek, a nearby facility for disabled children, meets an untimely death and mutilation, Chief Dickerson gets quite a kick out of assigning “a cripple to investigate the House of Retards.” As Mitch continues to struggle against discrimination for his disability, his investigation leads him to a very dark truth at Tamarack Creek Children’s Home.
