THIS BOOK BRINGS ABOUT REALITY ABOUT HIV; THAT BEING WELL INFORMED ABOUT THE VIRUS CAN SAVE MANY FROM SUFFERING THE LOSS OF LOVED ONES. HIV has been a monster for countless individuals and families as it has bagged the lives of many. As
real as this is, this book brings about another reality about HIV; that being well informed about the
virus can save many from suffering the loss of loved ones.

In ‘Living Courageously Positive’ Thulelah shares about how God has preserved her life since being
diagnosed with HIV in 2012. In the book she outlines: her experience in past relationships, her
exposure to HIV, dealing with the loss of loved ones and her own sickness. She further reveals how
she battled with sickness as a result of Anti-retro Viral treatment which almost killed her. She also
talks about how to deal with life giants when they seem to have parked at your doorstep and how to
turn mourning into dancing. Finally, Thulelah gives tips on how to live a healthy life and what types
of vitamins and healthy foods to explore in order to keep your immune system strong. More than
anything; this book carries a message of healing, hope and restoration for the nations through the
power of the blood of Jesus Christ.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr Thulelah Blessing Takane is an education specialist and holds a PhD in Primary
Mathematics Education with Wits University. She is the founder of Destiny Stars Foundation, an organisation
which focuses on interventions in numeracy, literacy and finding purpose. Her passions also include
community development, mentoring of youth and teachers.

She has a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of working experience in the field.
She has completed a Post-graduate Marketing Management course. She has obtained a Post
Graduate Certificate in Education and a Masters in Primary Mathematics Education. She is a
recipient of the Mamokgethi Phakeng Award for the most distinguished black woman Masters
student in the field of mathematics education and a winner of 3 rd prize in the First National 3 Minute
Thesis Competition held at the University of Free State in 2015.

Thulelah is passionate about empowering others to live courageously despite their circumstances.
