Little Armory (LA104): 1/12 Sten Mk2 Type – Model Kit
The Sten gun is a 9mm-caliber submachine gun developed in the UK during World War II!
In 1940, Britain was suffering from a serious firearms shortage due to the deployment of U-boats, air raids on the mainland, and the loss of equipment during the Dunkirk evacuation; the Sten gun was born as a solution to this problem. It was designed with production efficiency in mind, using pipe material for the receiver and adopting a simple trigger mechanism. It was manufactured in any factory that could process metal products and was so highly productive that it was even made in the factories of toy manufacturers. The Sten gun played an important role in overcoming the country’s disadvantages and seizing the key to rebellion.
The Mk.2 model, the most produced in the series, and its special operations version, the S model, are now released as a set of two guns from Tomytec’s “Little Armory” lineup! You can choose from three types of stocks and styles such as whether or not to use a bayonet.
