Laura is an accidental cook. She uncovered her passion while searching for memories. She impulsively offered a Lebanese meal as a silent auction item for a youth fundraiser and it turned into a regular occurrence. This evolved into a cookbook and a way to provide breadcrumbs in the family history for the next generation. For her it is a means of time travel, back to the ends of her grandmother’s apron strings as a young girl, and a means of recreating all the love that was in that kitchen. She says Khod Nafas means take a breath, close your eyes and remember the sounds and smells of a time when the whole family is together again.
