Justice on My Mind

While Justice pursues justice through the legal system and struggles to subdue a demon that has plagued her for years, she stumbles unto a plot so diabolical that she knows she must survive the threat on her own life in order to thwart the heinous plan. Justice, a new public defender fresh out of law school, is assigned to Courtroom D at a time when defense attorneys have all but given up hope of winning a trial or motion in that courtroom. Right away, she begins winning all of her trials and motions. No one in the legal system knows why-except the judge. The judge, along with several other outstanding citizens of Winston, desperately wants her to go away. After three unsuccessful attempts on her life, the perpetrator resorts to kidnapping in an attempt to insure her elimination from Courtroom D. When Alou and a friend go looking for Justice, they bump into a couple of uniformed policemen who, they fear, area part of a sinister plot to get rid of her. Justice finally faces the fact that she has two critical tasks: survival and thwarting the evil plot of the perpetrator. Will she have to choose between the two?
