This is the first book in the Jimmy Starlight and the Galactic Crystal series. It’s a story about a twelve-year old boy, Jimmy Starlight, who lives on Earth in a world of multiple dimensions and universes, aliens, virtual-reality time travel, space portals and vortexes, anti-gravity technologies, and Celestial Guardians. The boy has a paternal connection to Planet Atlantis, located in another dimension in our solar system. He is the subject of an Atlantean prophecy that is being fulfilled in this book and others in this series. This prophecy holds that a boy of Atlantean and Earthen descent will lead the Atlanteans to victory over their archenemy the VARS, a ruthless group of Space Invaders from far across the Milky Way Galaxy. It also predicts he will recover a long-lost Galactic Crystal and use it to overcome this enemy, and this victory will transform Planet Earth and bring it universal peace and harmony. After this transformation, this boy will lead the people from Atlantis and Earth jointly into the new frontier in the far reaches of the universe.

Author Biography

A one-time associate professor of business, A. W. van Rest has traveled the world promoting sustainable economic development and the use of clean energy technologies. He spent time in Tibet working to electrify villages, schools, and clinics using solar energy, and collaborated with local governments in other Chinese regions to implement sustainable energy projects. He advised government agencies in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region in developing clean energy policies and programs. In the U.S., he directed national programs to promote the use of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. He also headed up an east-coast clean energy center and served as chairman of a mid-Atlantic hydrogen and fuel cell coalition. This book is his first entry into the science fiction/fantasy world.
