Author Biography

Malcolm Muggeridge (1903–90) was one of the most brilliant, original, and pugnacious critics of the twentieth century. A journalist by trade, his sparkling prose and moral seriousness often earned him comparison with his towering British predecessors G. K. Chesterton, George Orwell, and C. S. Lewis. Having seen the truth about communism after a sojourn in Russia in the 1930s, Muggeridge went on a spiritual journey that led him to Christianity in the 1960s and ultimately, in 1982, into the Catholic Church. His bestselling Something Beautiful for God introduced Mother Teresa to the broad reading public. Among his other books are Jesus Rediscovered, Chronicles of Wasted Time, A Third Testament, and The End of Christendom. Peter Hitchens is a broadcaster, journalist, commentator, and author.
