IPv6 Deployment and Management

With the announcement in 2011 that the current Internet Protocol (IP), IPv4, has nearly run out, interest in IPv6 — the latest IP version — has grown substantially. Author Biography

MICHAEL DOOLEY is responsible for overall operations ofthe BT Diamond IP division. Prior to joining the team, he waspresident and CEO of Diamond IP Technologies; vice president ofoperations for the VitalSoft line of software products at LucentTechnologies; and Vice President of Engineering at QuadritekSystems. TIMOTHY ROONEY managed the engineering development andmarket introduction of BT Diamond IP’s four next-generation IPmanagement systems: NetControl, IPControl, Sapphire Appliances, andImageControl. Prior to that, he worked at AT&T BellLaboratories, Cingular, Triton PCS, and Lucent, including aleadership role managing the VitalQIP software product to its peakas market leader. Timothy Rooney is the author of IP AddressManagement Principles and Practice and Introduction to IPAddress Management, both published by Wiley-IEEE Press.
