About the author M. GLYNN SHUMAKE is the Director of InteriorDesign Services for Powers Associates, Inc. He also served as VicePresident and General Manager of Contract Interiors and VicePresident of the Interior Group of Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum.A licensed and registered architect, Mr. Shumake’s long practicehas been devoted to interior design and interior architecture. Mr.Shumake is a member of the American Institute of Architects and theInterior Committee of the St. Louis Chapter of the AIA.
