Ibraheem's Perfect Eid

Discover the true meaning of Eid in this vibrantly illustrated picture book celebrating the cultural rituals around this important Muslim holiday! Ibraheem loves Eid because Eid means presents! But when Eid arrives and brings trips to the mosque, food, family, games, and fun (but no presents), Ibraheem begins to worry. Luckily his baba and the rest of his family are there to help him learn that Eid is more than just the presents Ibraheem hopes to receive. Baba reminds his son to reflect on all the special things they did together and that they shared during the day, and in the end, Ibraheem finds that the magic and joy of this holiday are in all the special ways it is celebrated.

Author Biography

Farhana Islam was born and raised in Newcastle Upon Tyne and currently resides in Birmingham. She is a primary school teacher with a passion for telling stories and empowering diverse voices. She is also the author of Noor Needs to Know. Nabila Adani enjoys illustrating different cultures around the world. She originally studied Industrial Product Design in Bandung Institute of Technology, earning her degree in 2013, and then found her way into illustration later in life. She briefly worked as product designer in Japan and Indonesia before moving to the United States to study children’s book illustration. Now, living back in Jakarta, Indonesia, she enjoys illustrating and telling stories for children worldwide.
