I Did Not Want to Let You Go is a story of love, loss, and a woman’s faith in God. Mary Emma Tisinger invites the reader along on her painful journey from brokenness back to wholeness following the death of her husband. Through her account, anecdotes, and poetry, beginning on a college campus years ago, we share significant events in Mary Emma’s life, noting important markers along the way. And especially—that she walked with God.

A special selection of modern psalms is included. Written from the author’s heart, she hopes to touch the hearts of others who walk a lonely road.

Author Biography

Southern born, in the foothills of the North Carolina mountains, Mary Emma Tisinger now calls Dover and the flatlands of Delaware home. A member of the Academy of American Poets, Delmarva Christian Writers’ Fellowship, and the Eastern Shore Writers’ Association, her poetry and other writings have appeared in various publications and books. Other books by Mary Emma Tisinger include Through the Leaves that Fall (an inspirational) and the children’s books Ethan and the Pledge (ages 4-8) and Bumpity, Bumpity, Bump—No Nap for Anthony (children 3-7).
