It’s nearly five years since The Broken Heartbreakers released their last album ‘Wintersun’ to
excellent reviews and response, and in that time a lot has changed. The music world has
changed, the line-up has changed, and the sound of The Broken Heartbreakers has evolved
once again.
On their new album ‘How We Got To Now’, Howell and Bailey are joined by current drummer
Jeff Harford (Bored Games, The Rip, Psychic Maps) and Richard Pickard, who was brought in
as bassist for the recording. Pickard is an Auckland musician with a massive playing history
with some of New Zealand’s leading musicians.
There are also cameos from friends of the band including John White, Reb Fountain, Dylan
Storey, Steve Abel, Brendan & Alison Turner and Emily Valentine.
The band are looking forward to hitting the road again in support of ‘ How We Got to Now’
