How to Boost Productivity provides a comprehensive view of the phenomenon of productivity in the workplace from the perspectives of industrial psychology, but also from an ethical and biblical point of view. It describes: othe importance of improving the productivity of the workforce of any organization to boost profitability and to alleviate poverty, especially in developing countries; ohow the concept of “productivity” must be understood and how it can be measured; othe role played by abilities—physical health, aptitudes, training, skills, and personality traits—in the productivity of workers; ohow workers can be motivated through good leadership and by providing in their physical, psychological, and spiritual needs; ohow environmental factors can influence productivity and how these factors can be manipulated; and othe steps to be taken when an enterprise plans to boost the productivity of its workforce.

Author Biography

Adelbert Scholtz holds a PhD in occupational psychology, a doctorate in the history of Christianity, and advanced qualifications in labor relations, philosophy, New Testament studies, and pastoral family therapy. He is a retired minister of religion and is registered as a counseling psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. He has many years of experience in leading positions within various organizations, including church structures, the South African Defense Force, the Board of the Stellenbosch University, an international recruiting agency as CEO, educational and welfare organizations, and trade unions.
