Helen James

Helen James is now 11 years old and no longer believes in Father Christmas but she helps keep the allusion alive for her nephew Kenneth. As she takes Kenneth in to visit Father Christmas at the shoping centre Grotto she is surrounded by a blue haze, which is the ‘Visitants’ Hyming. For Helen is a ‘Good’ and whenever there is a problem across the Universe, the ‘Visitants’ can call on Helen to sort it out. This time Father Christmas was in trouble and without Helen’s intervention Children throughout the universe would not get their Christmas Presents this year. Can Helen solve this problem and be back at the Grotto before Kenneth meets up with Father Christmas?

Author Biography

J.J. Maxwell is the pen name for Bob Looker’s children’s books. Born in Winchester but travelled the world during his 23 years in the Forces and picked up many different cultures and ways of living and it is these experiences that he brings to his writing. The Helen James series of books is designed for the 7 – 15 year olds. The stories will be of interest to both girls and boys as in each story Helen has an adventure which she must solve before she returns home.
