Handbook of Satellite Orbits

Fifty years after Sputnik, artificial satellites have become indispensable monitors in many areas, such as economics, meteorology, telecommunications, navigation and remote sensing. Author Biography

Dr. Michel Capderou is a lecturer at the University Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC) in undergraduate astronomy courses and graduate level spatial mechanics/astrodynamics courses. He is also a researcher at the Dynamic Meteorology Laboratory (LMD) at the École Polytechnique, where he works on the preparation of satellite missions and IXION software.
