Patrick Sweeney has authored more than four dozen firearms titles for Gun Digest Books. He is certified master gunsmith and amorer instructor for police departments nationwide. Some of his best-selling titles include the four-volume Gunsmithing the AR-15 series, Gun Digest Book of the 1911, Gunsmithing Pistols & Revolvers, and 1911: The First 100 Years. Sweeney has published hundreds of columns and feature articles in firearms industry magazines and is a regular contributor to Gun Digest the Magazine.
