Chibi Maru: Godzilla: Biollante (70th Anniversary Version) – Model Kit
Fujimi brings us a brand-new “Chibi Maru” model kit of Biollante, just in time to celebrate the 70th anniversary of “Godzilla”!
Biollante appears in plant beast form and is made with a completely new mold. The kit snaps together so glue isn’t needed; it’s also made in color so painting is not necessary. With 28 runners and approximately 160 parts, this builds into a large-volume figure consisting of the main body and four pairs of tentacles. The head is realistically expressed, and the core part is made of clear orange parts to reflect Biollante’s appearance in the film. The main body has two movable parts, and the tentacles have three movable parts for a high degree of freedom in posing! Three pairs of fangs are provided as independent parts for the corners of the mouth; the lower jaw can be moved and opened, and countless teeth are molded onto the palate and underside of the tongue. Multiple parts allow you to realistically recreate the back and sides of the main body’s plant-like shape; the lower jaws of the tentacles can be moved, and you can pose them with their jaws open! Special stickers are included to express the color of the details, too.
