In this mystery thriller, a determined writer sets out to prove that the Resolute desk in the Oval Office in Washington D.C. is fake. Annabelle knows where the genuine desk is located. Moreover, she firmly believes that the desk is haunted by lost souls.
The desk was made from the timbers of a British ship, the HMS Resolute, dating back to the nineteenth century. The three-masted ship embarked on a daring expedition to discover the elusive Northwest Passage but found itself ensnared in immovable Arctic ice. Left with no choice, the crew reluctantly deserted the ship. Yet others came onboard, and there would be no rescue for them. Against all odds, the Resolute managed to free itself from the icy grip and embarked on a perilous journey, navigating through hazardous frozen waters for over a thousand miles.

Annabelle volunteers as a docent at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum. The museum highlights the life and times of President Reagan including a replica room of the Oval Office containing a replica Resolute desk. When unexplained and even dangerous events happen in the museum, Annabelle searches for clues within the desk’s secret drawers and within its very timbers. Annabelle shares her concerns with Rusty the museum’s curator, good at his job but insecure when it comes to love. His mind is on his growing affection for Annabelle’s feisty daughter, Whitney, a security guard at the museum.
Whitney has always brushed off the notion of ghosts. However, everything changes when she finds herself targeted by a sinister entity. As this disruptive force takes a toll on her mental well-being, her stormy relationship with Alex, a dashing fellow guard, further exacerbates the situation. As Annabelle embarks on her quest to unravel the enigma of the Resolute desk, malevolent and primitive spirits emerge, posing a threat to her loved ones. The answer lies concealed in a long-lost realm, if only the seekers can survive to find it.
