The Dictionary of Connecticut History – is a new approach to the study of United States History from state to region, to nation…documenting Connecticut History from the bottom up.

With over 300,000 words on people, places, and events, it will be the largest single reference source on Connecticut History ever published.

The Dictionary of Connecticut History that includes the following sections:

Introduction to Connecticut History by a noted historian on each Connecticut’s history.

Geography and Topography – This section describes Connecticut’s distinctive physical properties.

Early History – Begins before recorded Connecticut’s and continues up until early explorations.

History – An essay beginning with the earliest explorers and documenting the Connecticut’s history through contemporary times.

Chronology – Historical information about the state displayed in an easy-to-read timeline that begins before recorded history.

Dictionary – Alphabetically arranged articles of people, places, and events that are important to the history of the Connecticut.
