His goal is to help woodworkers learn as much about woodworking as possible through a variety of attractive projects and essential techniques. During his time as a woodworking editor, Jim served as the editor of Woodcraft, Home Plan Ideas, Do-It-Yourself, and Wood magazines, and headed up several building books bearing the Better Homes & Gardens name. Now retired, Jim’s assembled the shop he’s always wanted and spends his free time building furniture, jewelry boxes, and whatever else he finds interesting. He lives in Hawaii.
