"Very solid microphone arm, tested beyond the 1kg 'limit' and still held up fine, although most microphones sit around 500 grams. Takes a bit of playing around to get the tension right, there's a screw at the base for main tension then adjustment knobs at each bend. Suspect negative feedback below was not using all adjustment points."
"it's ok, the base could be a bit more stable at the joint."
"The arm appears the same as the Blue Compass, and while I haven't used that one, I can say that the Brateck arm is solidly made with a nice finish. It can hold a Rode NT1/1a (around 0.5-0.8kg with mounts) ok as long as your leaving it alone, touch it and it'll start to sag, the locks on the joints are a little weak when it's extended over monitors, but it will hold, might just need to be tightened higher than you want it and pulled down while tightening to correct spot as the spring type system in this isn't enough to passively hold the upper arm out and up and has to be tightened at the hinges."
"Just what I needed and looks good too"
"Fantastic mic arm, the clamp is extremely sturdy and you can lock the arm in whatever position needed. Holds heavy microphones without issue."
