Bless Me Father

It’s an age-old Catholic ritual: worshipers confessing their sins and asking for forgiveness. But at Saint Pius Catholic Church in Baltimore, something is terribly wrong. A disturbing number of parishioners have unburdened their souls to priests only to become victims of terror and violence—even murder. Their confessions blanket the range of human transgressions, and their penance is harsh and brutal. These retributional acts appear to follow the creed: “limb for limb, eye for eye, tooth for tooth.” The Monsignor at Saint Pius, Father John Bashian, is devastated by these escalating attacks. In desperation, he reaches out to a boyhood friend, Matt Sorensen, now a Special Agent with the FBI.
